  Project Background:

   In the United States, a chemical manufacturer was pursuing an efficient and energy-saving production process and encountered a problem of excessive pressure loss in the mixing process. This not only increased energy consumption, but also affected the stability of the production line and the quality of the final product. To overcome this challenge, the company decided to introduce a customized 3" x 4 element LLPD (Low Loss Pressure Drop) static mixer to meet its specific production needs.

  • Highlights:NUMBER OF ELEMENTS: 4 carefully designed mixing elements are designed to achieve efficient fluid mixing while maintaining low pressure loss through sophisticated fluid dynamics. The distribution and shape of these elements are precisely calculated to maximize mixing efficiency and reduce energy loss due to turbulence.Internal element material: 316L stainless steel is used, a material known for its excellent corrosion resistance and high strength, which maintains long-term stability in a variety of chemical environments and ensures the mixer's longevity and performance.
  • SCH40 seamless steel pipe: the shell is made of seamless steel pipe in accordance with SCH40 standard, whose wall thickness is not directly 40mm (varies according to different diameters), but ensures sufficient pressure-bearing capacity to adapt to high-pressure working environment and safeguard the safety of the equipment.
  • Shell material: the same choice of 316L stainless steel, and internal components to match, provide overall corrosion protection and structural strength.Internal and Surface Finishes: All internal and visible surfaces are sandblasted, which not only enhances the aesthetics, but also enhances the roughness of the surfaces, which contributes to the even distribution of fluids in the mixing process, while reducing the adhesion of impurities and facilitating cleaning and maintenance.End Fittings: Featuring NPT (National Pipe Thread Tapered) 60-degree tapered pipe threads, this U.S.-standard thread design ensures a seamless fit into existing piping systems, simplifying installation and reducing the risk of leaks.

    Removable Design: The mixer element and retaining ring are designed with a removable structure. This innovative design makes maintenance, cleaning and possible future upgrades of the equipment easy and quick, greatly reducing downtime and maintenance costs.

    Length: Approximately 21 inches (533.4mm), the compact and efficient design saves space while ensuring sufficient mixing length for optimal mixing results.
